Dauphin helicopter crashed at Jalan Sungai Lalang, Kampung Pasir in Semenyih Malaysia.(4/4/2015)

PETALING JAYA: Rompin MP Tan Sri Jamaluddin Jarjis was among the VIPs on board the helicopter that crashed in Semenyih, Kajang on Saturday.
The other VIPs were businessman Datuk Robert Tan and Private Secretary General in Prime Minister's Office, Datuk Seri Azlim Alias.
The three others on board the helicopter were Capt Cliff Fournier,  owner of Chempaka Aviation, Ajdiana Baiziera and bodyguard, identified as Raskan.
Police have confirmed that all six on board are dead.

Chopper crash: Jamaluddin was to attend second wedding reception


KUALA LUMPUR: Tan Sri Jamaluddin Jarjis was travelling to another wedding function when his helicopter crashed in Semenyih on Saturday.
The Rompin MP left Pekan where he attended the wedding reception of the daughter of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak earlier in the day.
He was due to arrive in Subang and later attend the wedding reception of Nur Atiqah Abdul Mutalib, the daughter of PR1MA chief executive officer. Jamaluddin is chairman of PR1MA, the 1Malaysia People's Housing Board.The helicopter with five others crashed in a rubber plantation at about 4.50pm before reaching Subang.
The news of the tragedy created a sombre atmosphere at Nur Atiqah's wedding reception at the Sime Darby Convention Centre on Saturday night.
However, a member of the organising staff said the reception had to go on.
"It's a bit down, yes. But we can still continue," said the staff who declined to be named.

Chopper crash: Najib pays tribute to Jamaluddin, Azlin

PETALING JAYA: Tan Sri Jamaluddin Jarjis contributed much to Malaysia and played a vital role in strengthening Malaysia-America relations, said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak on Saturday. "I consider him to be a highly capable man who has done much for his party and the nation. When he was our Ambassador in Washington, he played a vital role in building relations with the United States and he shared his opinion and advice with me."His loss is a terrible tragedy to the nation, and I am very sad over what has happened," said Najib during a visit to the crash site in Kajang.Jamaluddin was Malaysia's Ambassador to the United States from 2009 to 2012.
Najib said Jamaluddin's death was a great loss to him and his family.
"Jamaluddin was an old university friend of mine, and our political careers were closely intertwined," he said adding that Jamaluddin helped him as an adviser at the Prime Minister's Department.
Jamaluddin and Datuk Seri Azlin Alias, the private secretary at the Prime Minister's Office, were among six killed when the helicopter they were in crashed at rubber plantation near Kampung Sungai Pening in Semenyih, Kajang.The helicopter was enroute to Subang from Kuantan.
Najib also spoke of Azlin, saying that he had a close working relationship when Azlin was private secretary."He had agreed to leave his career in the corporate world to serve the government in a form of national service. Azlin was dedicated, trustworthy and liked by all. His death is a profound loss for me. He has helped me with many important government matters," said Najib.
Azlin was previously director of the Economics Division at the Prime Minister's Department.
Najib said Azlin and Jamaluddin were examples to follow.
"We must follow their example so we can be more united and close ranks to continue our struggle and service to the nation," said Najib.
Najib added that the investigation into the crash would be thorough.
"The investigation must be done thoroughly and all aspects of the tragedy investigated completely to determine its cause. It is too early to come to any conclusion. A thorough and comprehensive investigation must be carried out as soon as possible so the cause of the crash is identified," said Najib.

KUALA LUMPUR: Six people were killed when a Dauphin helicopter crashed at Jalan Sungai Lalang, Kampung Pasir in Semenyih near here.On board the helicopter were Tan Sri Dr Jamaluddin Jarjis and Datuk Seri Azlin Alias.
Jamaluddin was the member of Parliament for Rompin and the chairman of PR1MA while Azlin was the principal private secretary to the Prime Minister.
Others who died in the crash are Datuk Tan Huan Seang, Jamaluddin's bodyguard Razakan Seran, pilot Clifford William Fournier and co-pilot Aidiana Baiziera.All the bodies were taken to HKL for forensic identification
